On Saturday, the Varsity Boys Hockey team battled against Roseville at the Roseville Ice Arena. Players chased the puck, rammed into each other, and defended their respective goals. Despite the impressive showing, both teams seemed evenly matched, and the game ended in the tie.

At the start of second quarter, both teams were at one point. However, Roseville scored once five minutes into the game. This was followed by another goal made by Roseville four minutes later.

Behind by two points, Mounds View played with greater intensity. During the last minute of the game, they scored two goals within 17 seconds of each other. The score at the end of the second quarter was 3 to 3.

As third quarter began, both teams came out ready to win. It was a skirmish out on the ice. Finally, Roseville managed to gain the upper hand as they scored a point with five minutes left of the game. This was followed by a goal made by Mounds View 40 seconds later. When the clock was zero and the buzzer sounded, both teams were tied 4 to 4.

The game went into overtime. The coaches gave their players one last strategy play and the players hopped back into the game. However, no team stood victorious over the other during these eight minutes. The score was still the same; it was still a tie.
