Students register to vote in the commons

“One of the sad parts of when you look at elections is students have one of the lowest rates of voting, and registering to vote is just one of the steps,” said Katherine Tomsich, a representative from the League of Women Voters, “The next step is to get you to the polls, and when you’re very busy you often have excuses, so we’re going to be asking students for their permission to text them on election day to remind them to vote.”
