"I knew I wanted to do something like this just because it's a good way to get the message out," said Ryanna Buganski, 12, "I really wanted to focus on that this issue is a non partisan issue. People often get confused by that. They think you have to be Republican or a Democrat to support these things, but in reality it's about keeping schools safe."

"One of the sad parts of when you look at elections is students have one of the lowest rates of voting, and registering to vote is just one of the steps," said Katherine Tomsich, a representative from the League of Women Voters, "The next step is to get you to the polls, and when you’re very busy you often have excuses, so we’re going to be asking students for their permission to text them on election...

“The easier it is to acquire a gun, the easier it is for a person to be killed with it,” said Pratibha Khatiwoda, 10.

“I really enjoy the spontaneity of it, in the sense where people can express their own ideas and there’s not speakers set with scripts,” said Matthew Schnell, 11. “It’s very raw emotion.”
